Mt. Zion AME Zion Church (317 East Barr Street, Lancaster, SC 29720) places special emphasis on the Bible as the Word of God. The Church plays a pivotal role in the life of the Lancaster community as well as in overseas missions. From education initiatives, real estate projects, caring for homeless families, to establishing the first black Boys & Girls Scout Troops, the ministerial leaders of Mt. Zion understood the importance of uplifting and empowering the people to serve. A gun exchange program with the Lancaster City Police; combating children’s hunger; and various other enterprises have been sponsored by the Church. Mt. Zion’s charge is to inform, inspire, and engage its members to “Serve God by Serving Others”, while developing a robust outreach campaign to grow the congregation.

The Mission of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church is to make Disciples out of the lost. The Vision of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church is to build a community of loving, forgiving and caring believers who are trained in the Word of God and who are committed to “Serving God by Serving Others”. The Purpose of Mt. Zion AME Zion Church is to be committed to “Serving God by Serving Others.” We invite you to worship with us at Mt. Zion as we gather together in His Name and in His Love.
